Local Area Information

There is SO much to do in and around the Orlando area. There is of course the Disney, Universal and Seaworld parks that we all know and love, but the fun doesn't stop there. Take a browse through the 'Things to do' pages, where I have tried to cover off a wide variety of attractions for everyone!

One of my passions is Florida planning, so if you would like some help planning your itinerary or just some pointers on things to do and how to do them, do feel free to drop me a line.......I NEVER get bored of talking Florida!

Aviana Resort sits on about 50 acres of land in Davenport, near Orlando’s major attractions.  It is a small gated community, there are currently 188 single-detached luxury vacation homes/villas, the majority of which are made available by the owners to visitors for vacations, holidays, group gatherings, or some other residential purposes. You can take a stroll around the roads and paved footpaths around the Lakes. Just beware, like ALL Florida waters, do not go near the edge in particular at dawn/dusk as there may be Gators! We have not yet seen one in Aviana, but they can be in any lake or waterway!

There is a new Plaza with a Publix and a Burger King within walking distance. A short drive to another Plaza there is a Papa Johns, Wells Fargo, Doctors, McDonalds and more - great for just grabbing something quick on the way home.

The 192 has an array of restaurants and shops, which is approximately 15-20 minute drive. Our top tip is to head up Lake Wilson to the 192 and start your day with a buffet style breakfast; this will give you plenty of fuel for park days and means you won't be needing to spend a fortune on food in the parks! Choose from Ponderosa, Golden Corral, Perkins, I-Hop and more. There are some great restaurants for evening meals on the way home too, if you don't fancy cooking at the villa.
